What We Stand For
Rooted in Broomfield. Ready for the Future.
As Broomfield continues to change, we have a unique opportunity to guide its growth with care, foresight, and heart. Below are the issues Iβm most focused on β shaped by conversations with neighbors, my career in sustainability, and my vision for a city that works for all of us.
π± Protecting Our Environment & Open Spaces
Letβs preserve the beauty of Broomfield β for us and for those who come after.
Broomfieldβs trails, parks, and open lands arenβt just scenic β theyβre essential to our health, climate resilience, and identity. Iβll advocate for policies that:
Protect open space from overdevelopment
Support native landscaping, tree canopy expansion, and wildlife habitat
Invest in clean air and water initiatives
Expand access to climate-friendly transportation (e.g. EV charging, bike infrastructure)
We inherit this land, but we also borrow it from our children.
ποΈ Smart, Sustainable Growth
Change is inevitable. The opportunity is making growth equitable, thoughtful, and grounded in community values.
As housing prices rise and our population grows, Iβll advocate that development:
Balances affordability with neighborhood character
Includes community input at every stage
Integrates green building practices and renewable energy
Plans and invests in infrastructure with long-term foresight
We can welcome new neighbors without losing what makes us feel at home.
π¬ Transparency & Trust in Local Government
Government should be accessible, honest, and accountable.
In a fast-moving world, most people donβt have the time to dig through long agendas or parse policy updates. Iβll advocate for:
Clear, digestible updates on City Council decisions and projects
User-friendly tools that make budgets, development plans, and policy impacts easier to understand β in plain language
Outreach strategies that meet people where they are: through visuals, summaries, and mobile-friendly channels
Equitable representation in city planning and decision-making
Trust is earned through clarity, action, and humility.
π§ Youth, Mental Health, & Public Wellbeing
Strong communities care for their people β body and mind.
Iβve worked closely with youth in Broomfield through mentorship and leadership programs. Iβll advocate for:
Accessible youth mental health services and partnerships with schools
Safe, inclusive recreation and gathering spaces
Support for nonprofits and community groups doing the work on the ground
Public health initiatives focused on wellness, connection, and prevention
Our young people arenβt just the future β theyβre already shaping our present.
ποΈ Income-aligned Housing & Livability
Everyone deserves a safe, stable, and affordable place to live.
Iβll advocate for addressing the rising cost of living through:
Incentivizing affordable housing and mixed-use development
Supporting senior housing and first-time homebuyer programs
Exploring innovative zoning and density solutions that fit Broomfieldβs character
Reducing housing instability through partnerships with nonprofits and landlords
Housing thatβs aligned with what people actually earn is about more than numbers β itβs about dignity, access, and the kind of community where everyone can belong.
π¦ Transportation & Mobility
Letβs make it easier β and greener β to get around.
Iβll advocate for improvements that make transportation safer and more sustainable:
Safer pedestrian crossings, school zones, and bike lanes
Expanded RTD routes and last-mile transit solutions
Smart traffic planning to reduce congestion and emissions
Accessible options for seniors and people with disabilities
Mobility is freedom β and it should work for everyone.
